Posted on May 30, 2025May 30, 2025 by Chillie Falls

For people with paralysis living in or visiting Texas, three different hiking wheelchairs are available for free at several state parks throughout the state: The Tandem Hiking Cart, the Action Trackchair, and the Grit Freedom Chair. Beach wheelchairs are available as well. To use any of these wheelchairs, contact the park you’re visiting before you arrive to ensure availability.

Assistive Chairs

Multiple parks have all-terrain wheelchairs available for checkout. Please contact the park to see if one is available for your visit.
