These terms govern your use of accessadventure.net (the “Site”) and anything you buy from us. The Site is published by Access Adventure, 8021 Christian Ct, Apt 315, Louisville, KY 40222 (“Access Adventure”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site or buying a product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What we are, and what we are not
Access Adventure is a publisher. We produce editorial content, a podcast, and reference material about accessible travel for travelers with disabilities, their families, and their caregivers.
We are not a travel agency and we are not a seller of travel. We do not book, sell, or process payment for cruises, flights, tours, lodging, transfers, or excursions. We are not the merchant of record for any travel booking. We do not hold customer funds. Where the Site links to a travel provider or displays a third-party search tool, any booking you make happens on that provider’s own website, under that provider’s terms, with that provider as the merchant.
2. Editorial content is information, not professional advice
Everything we publish — articles, the podcast, and The Cruise Access Field Guide — is general information. It is not medical advice, legal advice, or a professional accessibility assessment for your specific trip. It does not create a professional relationship between you and us.
Accessibility policies, ship configurations, port conditions, vendor offerings, and government requirements change, sometimes without notice and sometimes between the day we verify them and the day you sail. Where we state a cruise-line, port, vendor, or regulatory fact, we either cite a source with the date we verified it, or we mark it explicitly as something you must confirm for your own sailing.
You are responsible for verifying every access-critical detail directly with your cruise line, airline, port, vendor, or medical provider before you rely on it. We are not liable for decisions you make based on our content, or for an accommodation that a third party fails to deliver.
Travel Tracker accounts and public beta
The Travel Tracker is currently a free public beta for keeping your own travel history. An internet connection is required. Create an account using an email address you control and verify it before saving records. Keep your password confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not access another person’s account or submit records you have no right to use. The tracker is not intended for children under 13; do not create an account for a child under 13 or submit their personal information.
You retain ownership of the travel records and other content you submit. You give Access Adventure permission to store, process, display, and back up that content only as needed to provide, protect, and support the service, consistent with our Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us. Do not upload unlawful content or sensitive records that are unnecessary for a travel log.
Imports can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review extracted entries before saving and verify your own records. External photo links and services remain subject to their own terms. Sharing a downloaded map image is your choice; you are responsible for what you share and where you share it.
You can export records and delete your account through Account & data. Removed listings can be recovered for 30 days. Account deletion removes active tracker records and revokes sessions; restricted backups and a limited deletion record are handled as explained in the Privacy Policy. Keep your own exports if you need an independent copy.
Beta features may change or be unavailable, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete import accuracy, or recovery of every record. We may restrict accounts for misuse or security reasons and may change or discontinue the service. Where practicable, we will give notice of material service changes or discontinuation so you can export your records. The tracker does not book travel, provide medical advice, or assess accessibility for a particular trip. The existing disclaimers and limitations below apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not remove mandatory consumer rights.

4. Licence to use what you buy
When you buy a publication, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. You may read it, print it, and use its worksheets for your own travel, for the travel of someone you care for, or for a client if you are an accessible-travel advisor working on that client’s behalf.
You may not resell, republish, sublicense, share, upload to a public or shared location, or distribute the files or substantial extracts from them. You may not use our publications to train a machine-learning model, or to build a competing product or database.
Permitted AI use. You may load a publication you have bought into an AI assistant you control in order to plan your own trip. That is what the included AI trip-planning companion file is for. This permission covers your own private use; it does not permit publishing, sharing, or redistributing the content or the model’s reproduction of it.
5. Our intellectual property
Our editorial content, publications, software, branding, and layout are owned by Access Adventure or used with permission and are protected by copyright and trademark law. This does not include ownership of your submitted tracker records, which remains with you as described above. You may quote short passages of our editorial content with attribution and a link. Anything more requires our written permission.
6. Advertising and affiliate relationships
The Site carries third-party advertising (including Google AdSense) and affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and then transact with that merchant, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Advertising and affiliate relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions. Third-party ads, widgets, and search tools are supplied and controlled by those third parties; we do not warrant their content, pricing, availability, or accuracy.
7. Your conduct
Do not use the Site to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, transmit malware, scrape or bulk-download content, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or interfere with the Site’s operation. Comments and messages you send us must be your own and must not be abusive, defamatory, or unlawful. We may remove content and restrict access at our discretion.
8. Third-party links
The Site links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, accessibility, or practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and our publications are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the content is complete or current at the moment you read it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Access Adventure will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed sailings, denied boarding, trip disruption, or additional travel costs, arising from your use of the Site or our publications.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that purchase. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Access Adventure against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Bedford County, Virginia, and you consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your home jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes to purchase terms will not be applied retroactively to an order you have already placed. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
